A Week in The Life of a Landscape Photographer

Have you wondered what a week in the field might be like for a landscape photographer? It’s a great job – you won’t hear us complaining… but long travel days and sleep-deprived nights go hand in hand with shooting in exotic locations. Recently, F-stop Gear asked us to write up a series of short blog posts to give their customers and visitors an idea of what being a wilderness photographer is really like. The first in the series of posts is now available on their blog: A Week in Life

We’ve been using F-stop gear for a few months now, and we are thoroughly impressed. We appreciate their sponsorship, and we are happy to be able to use such great bags. They are well-made and comfortable – clearly designed by active photographers for active photographers. You can see their entire collection of gear www.fstopgear.com.

I could start off like this – “Seeds of Jay Patel’s appreciation for beautiful places were planted early in his childhood….” but it would get boring really fast. I will just sum it up and say that I am a Landscape and Wilderness Photographer who loves to capture dramatic light. My photographs have been published in various magazines, calendars and advertising materials throughout the world.
